| We have been in the window treatment business since 1978, and began by selling insulating window shades that were manufactured in Vermont. This led us in the early 1980’s to a marvelous new product called ‘Duette Honeycomb Shades’, made by Hunter Douglas. More than the traditional pleated shade, the Duette shade incorporates two layers of fabric with an insulating air space in the center. These honeycomb shades, also known as cellular shades, remain one of the most popular window treatments sold today. Over the years, Hunter Douglas has dramatically expanded their window treatment offerings to include wood blinds, roller shades, mini blinds, bamboo shades, vertical blinds, and wood shutters. They have also invented new window treatment products that have become favorites, such as ‘Silhouette’ window shades, ‘Vignette’ roman shades, and ‘Luminette’ sheer vertical blinds. We now offer the complete Hunter Douglas collection in our new ‘Window Fashions Gallery’. Many styles of shades, blinds, and shutters are on display, and all of the fabrics are available in a comfortable shopping environment.
